Michelin Power Cup Evo
Michelin Power Cup Evo
The Michelin Power Cup Evo is a DOT-approved, street legal motorcycle tyre designed for hyper-sport track day and racing performance. It acts as a treaded, road-legal version of Michelin's full track slick, the Power Slick Evo. While it can technically be ridden on public roads, it is optimised for 95% track use, catering mostly to small-to-medium displacement motorcycles like 300cc to 400cc sportbikes.
Key Features:
- Adaptive Casing Technology (ACT): This architecture alters the tyre’s rigidity depending on the lean angle. It provides a more flexible crown for straight-line stability and an increasingly rigid shoulder to maximise cornering confidence.
- Dual Compound Technology (2CT): The tyre blends two distinct rubber formulations. A highly robust compound sits in the centre to endure aggressive acceleration and braking, while a soft compound covers the shoulders for extreme edge grip.
- Ultra-Fast Warm-Up: The carcass construction allows the tyre to reach optimal operating temperatures exceptionally quickly. It is engineered to perform immediately with or without tyre warmers.
- Minimal Groove Ratio: Featuring a tread void ratio of less than 5%, it offers the maximum possible contact patch on dry tarmac while retaining its street-legal status.
- Dry Grip: Delivers phenomenal traction and feedback during aggressive leaning.
- Stability: Highly praised by reviewers for maintaining structural composure and absorbing track imperfections under intense braking forces.
- Wet Track Capability: Though it has basic drainage grooves, it is fundamentally a dry-weather track tyre and is not suited for heavy rain or wet road commuting.
Note: This is not a combo, price is per tyre and rim is not included
